Dr. Amanda Cox
Dr. Cox has always dreamed of becoming a Veterinarian. At the age of 14 she volunteered at a local animal hospital and was hired on as a veterinary assistant at 15. Her passion for animals continued to grow for the next 5 years while she worked there. Dr. Cox had always felt a calling to serve her country so before going to Veterinary school she joined the United States Marine Corps. Even in the Marines Dr. Cox continued to express her passion for animals and while deployed she coordinated the rescue of several stray cats in Iraq and brought them back to the United Stated for adoption. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University in 2024. She has a particular interest in internal medicine, surgery, and primary care.
On her days off, Dr. Cox enjoys boxing, traveling, and relaxing at home with her wife, 4 dogs, 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs.
